Parish Voices & Facebook

As most of you will know the Parish Blog was not established on Facebook as many parishioners did not wish to use the platform and many wanted a more ‘private’ space. Parish Voices continues as usual (in its own web domain) and seems to satisfy the needs of most stakeholders and organisations as well as particularly respecting the wishes of the Parish Council. I have made one change to further spread the process and I am pleased to announce that there is now a three-way Administration Team of Christine Johnson, Mandy Hart and myself (Gary Day-Ellison). You can approach any of we three musketeers if you have any concerns or need assistance!

However the Facebook Group set up by myself with Gordon Hurst for the Village Fair this summer proved very popular. The name has been changed to North Bovey Community and has many members. You can find it here, North Bovey Community, if you haven’t already, but you will need to be on Facebook to do so. It is open to all parishioners and those directly involved with North Bovey.

I expect the Parish Voices to continue in it’s current guise for the foreseeable future. The Facebook Group being more informal. Contact Gordon Hurst or myself about this if you need to – though  all will be very familiar to Facebook users.
