Parish Voices & Facebook
As most of you will know the Parish Blog was not established on Facebook as many parishioners did not wish to use the platform and many wanted a more ‘private’ space. Parish Voices continues as usual (in its own web domain) and seems to satisfy the needs of most stakeholders and organisations as well as particularly respecting the wishes of the Parish Council. I have made one change to further spread the process and I am pleased to announce that there is now a three-way Administration Team of Christine Johnson, Mandy Hart and myself (Gary Day-Ellison). You can approach any of we three musketeers if you have any concerns or need assistance!…

Town and Parish fund – grant application suggestions
The Council would welcome suggestions for small projects around the Parish which could form a grant application to the Town and Parish Fund (joint Teignbridge and Devon County initiative) – the amount available approximately £400. This should be of benefit to the whole community and if possible neighbouring Parishes. If you have a suggestion, please contact The Parish Clerk, one of your Councillors (contact details on the Parish Council front page) or attend the next Parish Council meeting (Tuesday 1st December 2015 at 7.30pm in the Parish Hall, in North Bovey)

Anyone seen a polecat around these parts?
Has anyone else seen one of these beasties – a polecat? – in North Bovey? I have seen one twice in 2 months or so, on the boundary of our garden and field, and they are apparently about on East Dartmoor. They are much heftier that a stoat or weasel and run like a badger, but are smaller than a badger. The one I saw was dark red/brown with a very bushy yellow tail. I didn’t see its face.
