Police are hoping to speak with a male in relation to a dog bite incident which occurred in Holne Woods, Holne on Thursday the 18th August 2016 at 12 noon. Two Alsatian type dogs were involved and their owner was described as a white male, aged in his 40’s, unkempt, wearing a black T-shirt with AMG possibly written on it and beige coloured trousers. Funding for Town and Parish Councils
Funding is available to Town and Parish Councils working together and involving the community to try and solve local issues. Devon County Council and Teignbridge District Council have allocated a sum of money for grants. The available grant is a sum based on £1.10 per elector in each Parish in Teignbridge based on the electoral register as it stood in February 2016. The amount available for North Bovey is £229.90. This is getting nasty….
One of our neighbours has been subjected to very sophisticated scam resulting in the loss of all their computer files – yes, ALL of them. Someone claiming to be from BT inquiring about their broadband speed spent 20 minutes on the phone, being very plausible, chatting about their Firewall, not mentioning money ’til the last minute, and when at last they were challenged, as they refused to click on a particular file which had appeared on their screen, became abusive and started the process of removing files. Even though our neighbour instantly switched the computer off, the removal continued apparently as they were still connected to broadband. They have contacted…

a message from Teignbridge Council As you may be aware the first subscription period of the new garden waste collection service is coming to an end on 31st August 2016. We have been sending renewals notices to existing subscribers over the last 4 weeks and the final batch will be sent out this week. To avoid gaps in the collection service we are asking existing subscribers to renew before 26th August. Residents who haven’t yet signed up to the service, but would like us to start collecting their garden waste are also able to sign up for the new 12 month subscription period starting on 1st September 2017.
