    Free School Meals Extended Children in England who are eligible for free school meals will receive a six-week food voucher to cover the summer holiday period, after a campaign by Manchester United and England footballer Marcus Rashford.  A spokesman for the prime minister announced that all children eligible for free school meals during term time in England will continue to be provided for through a ‘COVID-19 Summer Food Fund’, estimated to be around £120 million.  The decision will provide around 1.3 million children with meals throughout the summer holidays.  If you are on a low income, you or your family may also be entitled to claim for free school meals. The criteria for free…

This is ahead of schedule due to an opportunity created by a cancellation. Scaffolding will be erected and the thatching contract will last 6-8weeks dependent on weather conditions.     Message from Alex at Moreton Health Centre This week is Cervical Screening Awareness Week.Covid-19 has affected cervical screening for hundreds of thousands of people as appointments have had to have been cancelled or postponed. The surgery is now offering appointments for all those people who have either had their screening postponed or cancelled or are now indeed due for their screening. Recent research by Jo’s Trust has found that 1 in 10 of those invited are now less likely to attend cervical screening, particularly as people are concerned about their safety and are avoiding healthcare sites.     Good News – Church is open

    St John the Baptist church will be open on Wednesday afternoons from 12pm and again on Sunday mornings until 12pm for private prayer and reflection in line with Government guidelines.Parts of the church have been cordoned off and certain soft furnishings and books removed as these would be difficult to clean and the PCC ask that anyone who enters the church during these times adheres to the requests in the notices in the church.By opening for only 2 sessions per week this enables the church to be “quarantined” for the advised 72 hours in order that we do not have to clean the numerous surfaces (some of which are highly…

This is in response to recent Government announcements and a fresh round of funding direct to bus companies for commercially operated services, plus an anticipated additional grant via local authorites for supported services. A summary for each bus company is attached. Inevitably, these further changes are at short notice and final timetables are in the process of being posted on-line.
