ITEM 4 – County & District Councillors’ Reports

4.1 None present.

4.2 The Clerk to request reports from the Councillors if not attending.

ITEM 5 – To approve minutes of previous meeting

5.1 The minutes of the meeting of the December meeting were approved and signed.

 
ITEM 6 – Matters arising

6.1 Three dog fouling signs have been ordered. It was discussed whether bins for this should be purchased. It was decided to see if the signs were having an effect, then further actions could be taken.

 
ITEM 7 – Finance & Clerk’s report

7.1 The Clerk presented the payments due being the Clerk’s salary and annual expenses and Oxton Trees.

7.2 The Clerk presented the accounts to the end of January 2024 and the budget turnout to date; both were approved by the council. The Clerk had spoken to the bank regarding the opening of a deposit account. This would have to be requested by a signatory. Also she is taking the request to add 2 signatories to the bank further. The clerk to make the VAT return.

ITEM 8 – Planning

8.1 Bovey Castle. They have applied to use Manor Court for staff accommodation. The properties created would not be for sale. The Council has no objections. The clerk to record this on the website.

8.2 Bowda. The application has been withdrawn.

 
ITEM 9 – Correspondence received

9.1 A letter had been received from DAAT thanking the Council for their donation. A copy has been forwarded to the Moretonhampstead League of Friends.

 
ITEM 10 – Date of next meeting

10.1 Tuesday 9th April at 6.00pm – PLEASE NOTE THE TIME!

 
ITEM 11 – AOB

11.1 APM Wednesday 8th May, 7.30pm. It was suggested that cheese and wine for attendees would be provided.

11.2 Grants are available for rural Parish halls.

11.3 The Council to discuss at the next meeting for a rep to attend the Parish Hall committee meetings.

11.4 The village fair will take place on 20th July.
