Loyal subjects of St George
and we’ll make an exception to our not so distant cousins. Yes it is St George’s day England’s finest Patron Saint, the 23rd of April.
Now George didn’t die on a funny shaped cross to become our patron saint that wouldn’t have cut it. Nor would have banishing snakes, or creating hills (this was St David’s minor miracle that so impressed the Welsh), in order to grab the affection and admiration of the English George had to slay a Dragon!
And so to celebrate this fine Gentleman’s life and career the Ring of Bells, the self styled quintessentially English Pub in the heart of the self anointed premier English chocolate box village, is offering you this price slashing, dragon slaying meal deal.
Cottage Pie or Fish and Chips (with peas, mushed on request) and a Pint of Reel Ale, or 175ml wine for the ladies, for a Sweaty smacking, Taffy Tickling, Leprechaun laughing £10, and as tempting as it was I left off the 95p!!!! Now who says I don’t give?
Once more unto the breach, dear friends’ and ‘Cry ‘God for Harry, England, and Saint George!’.
Offer applies for the 23rd April 2014 only and subject to availability.
