From Devon County Council – an Update

Quite a lengthy message from DCC – a summary

DCC are really pleased that the vast majority of residents followed the government’s guidance and stayed at home this bank holiday weekend, thank you.

There was a huge 85 per cent drop in traffic coming into Devon this Easter following our calls for holidaymakers and second home owners to stay away.

It seems highly unlikely that the government will relax their social distancing guidance this week, which means we will all continue to adapt to a very different way of life.

We will carry on keeping you updated with the latest information and advice from our services, the NHS and government via our website and this update.

Urgent appeal for community equipment

If you’ve got any community equipment you no longer need, please can you return it? We urgently need commodes, walking frames, shower stools, and raised toilet seats, as increased demand during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak means these items are in danger of being in short supply.

Please contact Millbrook Care on 0330 124 4491 to arrange a free contactless collection.
