Sunday 5th June is the final day of The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations
Here are the timings of our events:
9.30am Church Service at St John the Baptist Church
10.45am Procession from the Village Green to the stepping stones, to unveil the Platinum Jubilee Plaque by the newly planted willow tree
12 noon Ringing of the Church Bells
12.30pm North Bovey Community Picnic Lunch This will be held in and around the Parish Hall and Village Green. There are tables in the Parish Hall if the weather is inclement. Bring your own picnic, and then you are invited to help yourself to a selection of puddings and a cheeseboard. A glass of fizz or a non-alcoholic drink will be available prior to the Royal Toast.
2.00pm (approx) The Royal Toast and singing of the National Anthem, cutting of the cake and group photo.
Fun sports activities on the Green will conclude our celebrations.
