Please see below details about the latest phase of the Wray Valley Trail between Steward Wood and Wray Barton (approx. 2 miles south of Moretonhampstead) and the attached map (click on “Diversion” in blue writing below) showing diversions which will be in place at the end of September (exact dates TBC)

Diversion

Details from Devon County Council:

The Trail is a multi-use path to be enjoyed by pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians. The work will involve the erection of a 25m span steel bridge across the A382, together with construction of approx. 600m of off road path.

The Bridge is scheduled to be lifted into place at the end of September, and this will take place under a road closure. The opening of the new section is planned for the beginning of October.

Efforts will be made to minimise noise. Working hours will generally be limited to 7.30 am to 6pm Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday working (8.30 am to 5 pm) to complete a particular activity.
