We have received a report from a business in Exeter that they have received an email which is a bogus ‘speeding fine’ email purporting to be from the Police.

We do not know the intentions of this email but advise that they are deleted. Please pass this information on and put this information on notice boards.

Please do not click on any part of the email and do not reply to the email. This email is fraudulent and may ask you to give your personal or financial information or attempt to infect your computer with malware.

The bogus notification gives the recipient details of the speeding ‘offence’ such as when and where it occurred.

If you have any concerns please phone 101.
Thank you.
