Friends of St John – Safari Supper? Quiz?
‘This year, with the difficulties of Covid, the Friends of St John have decided not to have the normal Safari Supper but, instead, will be putting on a Cream Tea in the Parish Hall on the afternoon of Saturday 7th of August – further details of timing and costs will be circulated in due course. If you are interested in attending please can you email Bob Small bobposhpig@gmail.com and he’ll put you on the list. The North Bovey Quiz, deferred from February, will now be held on Friday 24th September as usual in the Parish Hall. Again full details will be published shortly.’

Friend of Moreton School Fundraiser
Message from Rebecca Hilton: Friends of the wonderful Moreton school are trying to run a winter raffle (it was going to be a Christmas raffle, but half the school had to go into isolation, so we couldn’t do it then, and now we’re all in isolation, but hey ho, we’re carrying on regardless and just doing the best we can.) This raffle is the only fundraiser I reckon we’ll be able to do this term. Update on Covid-19 Vaccinations Dear Patient, At the beginning of December, along with three other local GP surgeries we began to deliver the Covid-19 vaccination to our patients. With only one weeks’ notice and rapidly developing guidance, a huge amount of work was required to get this service live. It was an effort that required every member of our team to pull together along with teams from the North Devon PCN. We are very grateful to Okehampton Medical Centre for supporting us by providing a site from which our 4 GP practices could deliver the campaign, whilst enabling us to continue operating our usual services in practice. Fireworks at Bovey Castle – Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve
Good Afternoon, Please be advised that Bovey Castle will have some fireworks taking place at 10.30pm on Saturday 26th December for 10-15 minutes along with New Year’s Eve at 10.30pm again for around 10-15 minutes.
