Watch out for these fake Netflix emails. We’ve seen an increase in reports about fake Netflix emails claiming that there’s an issue with your account, or that your account has been suspended. The email states that you need to “update” your account details in order to resolve the problem. The link in the emails leads to genuine-looking Netflix phishing websites designed to steal your username and password, as well as payment details. Always question unsolicited requests for your personal or financial information in case it’s a scam. Never automatically click on a link in an unexpected email or text. Police Commissioner’s Report
September 2018 There’s been a definite autumnal feel in the air over the past few weeks and the summer heatwave feels like a distant memory with the crisp mornings we’ve been having. As summer draws to a close so does our engagement season – I have thoroughly enjoyed getting out and about across Devon and Cornwall meeting so many people. This week I met with the Chief Constable and our equivalents in Dorset to look in detail at the final business case and discuss the merger proposal. New Chief Superintendent of Police for Devon
Devon And Cornwall Police Introduce Chief Superintendent To South Devon From Monday 10 September a new basic command unit will be introduced, covering Teignbridge, Torbay and South Hams. This will take the total number of basic command units across the force up to four. These four key units of policing are Cornwall, Plymouth, South Devon and NEW [North, East and West] Devon. The introduction of this new management position will allow a greater influence over priorities for the local area and a bigger voice for South Devon within the force.
