Posterous, the free hosting service of our blog, has been acquired by another company. If, one possibility, they closed it down would you like to see the blog continue, perhaps in a modified form?
Definitely continue. It is a good way of getting news around the village, and communally passing on information to those who require it, as well as – in time – serving as a digital archive of and for the local community, and even a local reference directory. As computers and digital databases become more integral to all aspects of our everyday lives, the village blog could become a major resource for disseminating local information for social, administrative, and business purposes.The Snow Patrol is one such fledgling example.I think many more actually read it than contribute to it.
