    Village Voices – New Home

    Village Voices will shortly have a new home. You will be able to find it at www.northbovey.org. But wait a few days while some technical voodoo takes place in cyberspace. I will set up a temporary re-direct from the current location on my website where it has been located FOC for many years. This way it will be independent of my mortality and I can use my domain with less trepidation about bringing the Village Blog down. This would probably result in a public burning which I would like to avoid. So make a note now – www. northbovey.org where you can have your say!

  • St John's Church

    We did it!

    The Parochial church council is delighted to announce that St John the Baptist church, North Bovey has been successful in it’s application to the Listed Places of Worship roof fund and has been awarded a grant totalling £94,600 towards the costs of the roof repairs that are currently needed for the church. The Friends of St John’s are also contributing a significant amount towards the costs and the work will hopefully begin towards the end of the summer. If one of you has an event planned it would be good to see it tested ‘live’ as it may need a regular post and a calendar link. Which, of course, sounds way more complicated than it probably is!

    After sounding out some opinions with current Village Voice ‘authors’ it seems a good time to widen the scope of content in this forum. So VV will be changing the status of North Bovey Parish ‘subscribers’ to ‘authors’. No-one outside the community will be able to post. This simply means you will be able to post directly onto the website by logging-in as you do to leave a comment.
