Road warden scheme proposal

Dear Parishioners of North Bovey,
The Parish Council has I understand decided to take forward an application to join the DCC Highways road warden scheme.
I have put my name forward to the PC and have begun consulting a variety of parishioners on their views on the subject of self help highway maintenance (country lanes in our parish’s case) initiative launched by DCC Highways.
Please post your views on this initiative as comments on this site so some sort of consensus can be drawn.Please also encourage your friends and contacts in the Parish who may not look at Parish  Voices and ask them to mail myself <jcc240@gmail.com> or phone 440143 .

Without active support both moral and physical the scheme is very unlikely to work.
