Donations to HITS from North Bovey residents
The North Bovey Conservation Group put up a Christmas Tree on the village green as usual in December, and requested that people made a donation (by buying a ‘star’ to go on the tree). All donations from the stars have now been sent to the HITS Foodbank, which stands for Homeless In Teignbridge Support. We shall be digging some archaeological test pits around North Bovey on Tuesday 28th May. Leaf clearance from The Village Green Sunday 25th and Monday 26th November 2018
Dear All, It is that time of the year when willing and able volunteers get together to clear the leaves from The Village Green. The aim is to preserve the rather sparse grass by avoiding rotting leaves. Weather permitting we plan to assemble working parties on Sunday 25th and Monday 26th November starting at 1000hrs. If you can spare a couple of hours on either or both days to join in that would be much appreciated. Useful equipment to bring with you would be gardening gloves a leaf rake, leaf pick up paddles and a leaf blower if you have one. Dumpy bags will be available for filling but if…

Hello everyone, I have booked the Parish Hall for the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 2 pm to 5 pm. Starting on the 10th April then after that 8th May, 12th June, 10th July, 14th August and so on. To cover the cost of the Hall, heating, electric etc; £2 per session. Please bring whatever craft you are working on, every craft welcome and looking forward to us sharing each others hidden talents. Winter Road conditions
You may have noticed grey DCC salt bags at the roadside near potential icy patches on the road from The Village to Bughead Cross. These bags were distributed by Conservation Group Volunteers as DCC no longer provides a salt bag distribution. You will need a small shovel in your vehicle to enable you to spread salt from these bags or the large salt bins on icy surfaces to help you get mobile again. If any Parishioners require further salt bags for highways use in their locality, supplies are available on request. Please contact John Clark jcc240@gmail.com
