Donations to HITS from North Bovey residents
The North Bovey Conservation Group put up a Christmas Tree on the village green as usual in December, and requested that people made a donation (by buying a ‘star’ to go on the tree). All donations from the stars have now been sent to the HITS Foodbank, which stands for Homeless In Teignbridge Support.
Here is a letter of appreciation from HITS:
Dear Hazel,
I would just like to say an enormous thank you on behalf of our Trustees and Team of volunteers for your recent very generous donation of £122.75 from the North Bovey Conservation Group. Please also pass on our thanks to all those who contributed to the donation.
It is the kindness of the public like yourself, the businesses and volunteers of Teignbridge and the surrounding areas that keeps HITS going and enables us to provide this valuable service within the community to the vulnerable and those less fortunate.
We are currently experiencing a large increase in the number of food parcels we make up due to price rises for gas, electricity, food and the general cost of living so every donation which we receive is very much appreciated.
I hope that you are keeping well and would again like to offer our sincere thanks.
With kind regards,
Yours sincerely
Richard Waldron, Operations Manager
