    Cream Teas

As part of the Devon Historic Churches Trust’s Ride and Stride event we shall be raising funds by selling cream teas and cakes in the Parish Hall  this Saturday, 9th September. Refreshments will be available from 2-4.30pm. This charity recently enabled us to replace the church boiler which suffered a sudden and dramatic “death” so we are pleased to be able to help other churches in similar plights. Food Bank

The food bank is still in situ in the church and any donations would be very welcome.  I know there has been some query as to how often it is emptied but that has now been rectified and a new collection rota is in place.  Please continue to donate – it is very much appreciated.

    Airband – high-speed internet

Airband has now gone live on the church tower. Interested households can place their orders on Airband’s website and its Customer Services team will establish if there is line of sight, and book the installations. The website is www.airband.co. It is now over to Airband. The church has been instrumental in having the antennae installed on the tower, but the responsibility for the technical and commercial operation is now up to the company (not the church).

    FOOD BANK

Please remember that there is a collection box in the church for items for the food bank at Exeter.  The need for such donations is still high and your contributions would be gratefully received.  A list of the most urgently needed items can be found at the website https://exeter.foodbank.org.uk and currently they are asking for UHT      milk and long life fruit juice cartons as well as rice, sponge puddings, tinned meat and pasta/noodle snacks.  Those who access these services may not have or cannot afford cooking facilities so although they may not seem to be the healthiest foods to be requested there are reasons why such items are needed.…
