A message from South West Water re works in North Bovey
You may have seen a message about works to take place around the village green in North Bovey in February. Here is an update from South West Water: The works are scheduled to begin on Monday 20th February. The contractors will then start excavating a ducting trench which will start from the telegraph pole (close to the phone box) and will run close to the wall of The Old Post Office’s garden, around the bend and across the car park apron, opposite the church lychgate. Chris Chapman – a lifetime in photography
North Bovey Belles WI are pleased to present an open meeting on March 9th at 7pm in North Bovey Parish Hall when celebrated, local photographer Chris Chapman will talk about his work. Tickets are priced at £7.50 and there will be a cash bar. Friday Night is PIE night – even underwater.
Last week was lovely, with a few new people, so come along tomorrow and join in the fun. Bring friends and neighbours. Bring snacks if you wish, bring your own drinks, or contribute to our wonderful parish hall and have a drink from the bar.

Hi All, I know you were all asking “Is it on this Friday?” , “What will we do if it isn’t?” , “Surely we need one before Christmas?”. Well the answer , my friends , is YES!!!! Some seasonal nibbles will also be available while you debate the hot topics of the day such as “What will happen when Bairstow gets back from injury?” , “Will Harry Brooks be the best England Batsman ever?” and “How on earth didn’t Ben Stokes get Sports Personality of the Year?”. Remembering Niki Pollard (28.06.1974 – 15.11.2010)
On Sunday 20th November there will be a small informal gathering to remember villager and friend, Niki Pollard. All who knew her are invited to join us at the North Bovey stepping stones at 12.00 noon. Refreshments afterwards at North Bovey Parish Hall.
