North Bovey Fair – Thank you!

An enormous ‘Thank you‘ from the whole NB Fair team to everyone who donated and came to the North Bovey Fair on Saturday! What a fabulous day it was. We really couldn’t have done this without your input.   The Bottle Stall, Bric-A-Brac, and Clothing stalls were heaving with donations, and yesterday, the organisers were counting the money! It’s been three long years since we’ve been able to hold this event.   And, all being well, we will be back next year. Most probably 15th July 2023. Third Saturday in July. Get it in your diary!

    North Bovey Fair

Message From Gordon Hurst Hi Everyone, You won’t be surprised to know that we have now formally cancelled the Fair scheduled in July. However , we aren’t giving up hope that we may be able to reorganise it for some time in September. We’ll obviously let you know if that is possible. I hope you are all coping under these horrid times and most importantly are staying safe. Every day is one day closer to the end of this. Kind Regards Gordon

VE Day – North Bovey Remembers

Reminiscences from parishioners recorded in 2005 – 60th Anniversary This document was assembled by Sheila Williams At the time, £200 was raised for Combat Stress. Some of the entries are by parishioners who are no longer with us, some have moved away, but others are going strong. Click through the pages (at the bottom left hand side of each page). Sorry about the quality. If anyone wants a copy I can print one off for you. This Friday Because of social distancing, we cannot have a party like we did in 2005, but some will be gathering (loosely!) around the green just before 11 am this Friday for two minutes…
