St John's Church

Craft Fair

CRAFT FAIR  :  Saturday 18th May  :  North Bovey Village Hall
11 am – 2.30 pm
light refreshments / lunches / tea / coffee etc.
in aid of St. John’s Church

Dear All,
In order for the above to be a success I need not only stall holders but helpers – and CUSTOMERS.  To this end I am seeking your assistance in publicising the event to any of your “crafty” friends who may like to take a table (£12 each) and, vitally, help in organising and presenting the refreshments. I visualise drinks throughout the Fair but with light lunches say between 12.30 – 1.30 pm.  These would take the form of filled rolls (choice of ham, egg, tuna or similar ) and soup plus a buttered roll. We should also have biscuits and cakes for sale. I wondered, too, about having a table on behalf of the church to sell any craft/cookery books and/or high class china/glass ornaments etc. (so not bric-a-brac but something a bit more special). And, of course, a RAFFLE.

It may seem a bit early to start asking for help but I want to get a feel for how this is going to work.  I’ve never done anything like this before so anyone out there with previous experience, please share your expertise!

I have sent out letters and posters to 15 people so far and have had positive bookings for four tables so it’s going well. Please let me know whether and how you are best able to help.

With kind regards
Margaret Renouf

I could do a children’s crafts stall – with simple things for them to make like paper weaving, simple tapestries and Pompom animals
