QUIZ! New Date
The Friends of St John’s will be holding its (usually) Annual Quiz on Saturday 25th September at 7.00pm in North Bovey Parish Hall. Quiz master Ian Goodwin will be creating a brilliant quiz as usual. Teams of 6 at £48.00 to include a cheese and wine meal. Entries, please, to Bob Small (bobposhpig@gmail.com or 07811 960946). The Friends is the Charity which raises money for the upkeep of the fabric of the church of St John the Baptist in North Bovey. (Please note date change from Friday24th.)

Friends of St John – Safari Supper? Quiz?
‘This year, with the difficulties of Covid, the Friends of St John have decided not to have the normal Safari Supper but, instead, will be putting on a Cream Tea in the Parish Hall on the afternoon of Saturday 7th of August – further details of timing and costs will be circulated in due course. If you are interested in attending please can you email Bob Small bobposhpig@gmail.com and he’ll put you on the list. The North Bovey Quiz, deferred from February, will now be held on Friday 24th September as usual in the Parish Hall. Again full details will be published shortly.’

Pizwell Farm visits to North Bovey
This message is from Sue Martin, from Pizwell Farm, who generally comes to North Bovey on a Friday afternoon from 2.30pm for half an hour or so, to sell meat and vegetables too. Hello all Just to bring you all up to date about our visits to North Bovey over the next couple of months. We will be there on Friday this week as usual with fresh beef, frozen lamb chops and pork sausages. Please order if there is something special you need as some bits are sold out.
