St John’s Church Giving Service
This Sunday’s service, March 18th at 9.30am, will focus on “Giving”. We shall be encouraging all those attending the service to bring something to add to the food bank collection which is situated in the church and thinking about how we can best help those in need. Everyone in our community is welcome to add to the donations. The box is just inside the church and can be accessed throughout the week when the church is open (during daylight hours). All donations will be collected for the Teignbridge Food Bank which helps homeless and other people in crisis. Donations of packaged food items and toiletries are welcomed. Thank…

Don’t drive onto Dartmoor…..
Further to the general advice provided by Highways England, the Police, Local Authorities and the Met Office about only making essential journeys; we are aware that drivers are attempting to drive onto Dartmoor looking for snow. Please DO NOT drive onto Dartmoor. The roads are extremely dangerous, with many remaining untreated with ice and snow drifts. Many of the roads do not have demarcation posts and with the snow build up, the potential for vehicles accident leaving the road and becoming trapped is high. Unless it is an emergency (not just convenience) do not travel across Dartmoor.
