We will remember them

August 4th 2014 is the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of The First World War.

At 9.30pm we will be holding a commemoration of all those who served during the war and particularly remembering the five men from our own parish who did not return. The evening will commence with refreshments and end with a candle lit vigil at 11pm – all welcome.

if anyone has any photographs or other memorabilia, particularly of the immediate area, we would be grateful for contributions towards a display in the church.
