Cycling & Walking Festival 5th May – Star Rides
A Sunday of cycling & walking activities to celebrate the long awaited opening of the spectacular Town Quay Bridge across the River Teign, & connecting path to Kingsteignton! Part of the first phase of a trail to be built along the Teign Estuary to the coast, part of the National Cycle Network, the vision was to form safe connecting cycle routes between our towns & cities. Inspired by this idea, led rides are being organised on the morning of the 5th from towns and villages across Teignbridge to the celebration event at Old Forde House grounds, and returning afterwards. All residents in & adjacent to Teignbridge are welcome to join the six rides, named ‘The Star Rides’
The day will include thrilling demonstrations of professional trials bike riding, cyclo-cross racing for under-12s and under-16s, free bike hire, Dr Bike checks, refreshments & many stalls.
