As most of you probably know an avatar is the small photo of yourself that appears when you post or comment. Please use these as I don’t want to publish anything that is anonymous on Village Voices. I understand the subscription form does not offer the option to add yours as you subscribe. So you can 1. send me yours by email 2. ask me to re-use your avatar from Posterous. If you would like to keep such things simple I recommend 3. Gravatar (http://en.gravatar.com/). You just do it the once and it can follow you everywhere. And in future just up-date the one photo.

Moving On!
The free service that is Posterous (where the village blog lived until now) is no more. At least it disappears on April 30th. It was acquired by Twitter (the Social Messaging people). They then decided to keep the know-how and staff but ditch the service. So I have moved our blog here ahead of time for continuity. Welcome to WordPress. See how many people use it!
