Wednesday Walk

Hello All,
Our walk on Wednesday will start from Meldon Reservoir car park, GR. SX 562916 and this is at the north-west side of the moor. In order to get on to the road which leads to Meldon hamlet and the reservoir, the best thing to do is to go through Okehampton town centre heading west on the old road towards Launceston. Continue on past Betty Cottles cafe, (ignoring the left turning to Meldon Quarry). Eventually, this road you are on goes over the A30 trunk road and you just keep going until this now small road goes under a low bridge and swings hard left. Meldon Reservoir car park is about a quarter of a mile along here on the left.We should be there to start at about 1020.

There’s snow forecast for tomorrow but I think it will be short-lived, although Wednesday will be very cold and there will be a strong wind so the thermals may be a good idea!
