    Cream Teas

As part of the Devon Historic Churches Trust’s Ride and Stride event we shall be raising funds by selling cream teas and cakes in the Parish Hall  this Saturday, 9th September. Refreshments will be available from 2-4.30pm. This charity recently enabled us to replace the church boiler which suffered a sudden and dramatic “death” so we are pleased to be able to help other churches in similar plights. Our Reader, Lionel Holmes,  is also raising money by cycling around churches in Devon and you can sponsor him in his endeavours by popping in to the hall on Saturday and signing up. 50% of any money we raise goes towards…

    Food Bank

The food bank is still in situ in the church and any donations would be very welcome.  I know there has been some query as to how often it is emptied but that has now been rectified and a new collection rota is in place.  Please continue to donate – it is very much appreciated.

The mystery of the missing table

The old (17C?) table used in church for the visitor’s book has mysteriously disappeared and been replaced by a newer model sometime last year. It was replaced with a newer version of similar size and as it is usually covered with a cloth it has gone unnoticed by the majority. Do you know what has happened to the original? Any ideas as to where it might be? Any information or ideas would be welcomed. Please call Sarah 01647 441224 if you can help
