Bovey Fair Photo Quiz – Results!

So how well did you know the village from the photo quiz at the fair on Saturday?  No-one managed to get all 35 locations correct – there were two difficult locations, but that didn’t stop several entrants correctly matching at least one of them to the correct map location, despite there being 41 locations on the map, but deliberately only 35 photos to match up.  Unfortunately one item was moved during the week leading up to the fair, and that was the close-up of the logo on the door of the portable lavatory that has been a feature of the car park for several weeks!

The highest scoring winners were Chris & Chris (II), the new residents of “Thatchways” next to the Ring of Bells, with 32 out of 35, closely followed by Lindsay Calverley with 31 out of 35, and Lucy Bartlett (from “Fairbrook”) with 29 out of 35 in third place. 

STOP PRESS: By chance I bumped into Chris today on Tottenham Court Road in London, and Chris & Chris have very generously offered to put their prize money back in to the pot, to provide a little extra profit for the fair!  Thank you Chris & Chris!
