Nah! This is much easier. Please sort through your masterpieces and works of art (or anything else you don’t want but someone else will). Bring them to the village hall on the weekend of 8/9th July or 15/16th July. They will duly appear for sale on the bric-a-brac stall on Fair Day and help raise money for great local causes.

A message from Gordon Hurst about the FAIR!!!! Three things to update you on: 1) Preliminary results : Currently the total stands at a fantastic £4,686! I’m pretty sure that is a record , certainly for the 8 years I’ve been involved. Brilliant effort by all involved and a self-congratulatory pat on the back would be well in order for everyone! The numbers aren’t yet finalised as there are still some bits to sell on the bric a brac front. I’ll circulate the full results with a stall by stall comparison to last year once I’ve been able to sit down with Francoise to finalise everything. Sorry but I’ve been out…

Fair Funds & a New Date!
Hi Everyone, Firstly another great big thank you to everyone who helped make our Fair such a great success.The final figure raised was £4,198.60 which is an amazing achievement.Distribution of Funds Everyone involved was invited to a meeting on Monday evening to discuss the distribution of funds. I know a lot of people couldn’t make it, which is inevitable, but I did also have some written representations all of which were considered. The final agreed allocation was : The Parish Hall and the Church both to receive 40% , namely £1,680 each Devon Air Ambulance £300 Dartmoor Search and Rescue £200 North Bovey Conservation Group £250 (this just about covers…

Teas at the Fair
Thank you to all those who’ve offered cakes and help on the day. Cakes can be brought to the Parish Hall from 9.30am onwards or at other times if you call me in advance 01647 441224. If you can help on the day with serving or kitchen duties and haven’t yet been in touch, please do so. I’m still short of a few bodies – any condition considered!

Bring Out Your Vedge!
COMPETITIONS IN THE CHURCH : Fruit, flowers and vegetables. Proud of your produce this year? Then enter your prize specimens in our garden produce competition. Any fruits, vegetables, herbs or flowers welcome. Let’s have a real cornucopia in the church this year. All entries should be brought to the church between 9.30 and 1pm on the morning of the fair.
