Consultation spoof
Although obviously a spoof it seems the earlier post may well prove to be offensive to some. Never the intention, I thought it quite funny and too obviously satirical to raise more than a smile.
I have now removed it on the grounds that it was anonymous. We should all be free to state our point of view and it is probably best if all authors on the blog are prepared to put their names to all posts.

Well I thought it was a terrific idea. Georgia and I have had the most marvellous skiing last week in the Alps, and working for the Met Office, i know whats coming.. as apparently we can expect more extremes of all sorts – cold, heat and rain. In fact I will be with WMO in Geneva this week, discussing some relevant projects. Perhaps the team could build a dry ski run whilst we await the full impact of climate change? They clearly have lots of talent, and it would save Georgia and I going to the dry slope in Exeter?I look forward to the next consultation document. Frankly, I’m all for it!

I felt you would need a humour by-pass not to see it as anything other than than a well-engineered spoof. A bit of a dig but up for public reply . . . It wouldn’t have taken more than a little surface scratching to identify the wag. This comments area is always here to express disapproval after all! Why sit at home grumbling when you can have your say in the open?I suppose I should stick to my guideline of ‘nothing anonymous’. So it goes.
