No room at the Inn? Join us for a Carolling trip round the village.
A travelling Nativity around the village starts at 5 o’clock, Friday 20th December by the Christmas Tree on the green! Join Mary and Joseph as they journey around the village looking for somewhere to stay. We will be singing carols on the way and will be joined by angels, shepherds, lambs, kings, a star and some real donkeys in the stables. Then we’ll follow a candle-lit pathway back to church for more carols, mulled wine and mince pies. All proceeds to CLIC Sargent, the Children’s Leukaemia charity.” thanks Chris

Join The Sopranos . . .
Dear Parishioners, Is there anyone that has been thinking about joining in with our choir but hasn’t got round to it yet? We do with another soprano ( I don’t mean really high – just singing the tune, we seem to have a lot of altos so we are in need of at least one more singer for the tune bits. Not naming names but perhaps – Caroline (Webster) ? Mary (Pollard) ? Jennifer (Jones?) Tracy (Small) Alex Hubble? or indeed anyone !! Not that we’re desperate but it’s nice to have more than three people singing the tune. The next rehearsal is this Thursday (5th) 7-8pm…

See in the New Year at the Ring of Bells
We are serving a three-course dinner at £22.95 per person – early booking is essential! The menu will be: Pressed game terrine served with our special Ring of Bells red onion marmalade and toasted brioche. The main course is Great British roast rib of beef (very local and very wonderful), with all the trimmings. And to finish there’s warm treacle sponge and vanilla custard… and if that doesn’t set you up for the New Year we don’t know what will!

Local ads.
I see the Small Ads doesn’t get used much, if at all, and it could be useful to buy/sell that unwanted stuff within the community. So the thought is to pop them in the main stream. Only local subscribers – spam is quite enough of a headache as it is. Village Voices would like your views. Have your say!
