Public Meeting about the Hospital!
Wendy Hawes has just been advised that there is to be another Public Meeting on 9th December at 6:30pm in the Moretonhampstead Sports Hall. Both the North Devon Healthcare Trust (which manages our hospital) and the Clinical Commissioning Group will be represented and hopefully they will listen to our views and wishes on the way healthcare is to be delivered locally in the future. Do please spread the word as it is essential to get another large local turnout to show them how passionate we are about keeping our hospital.

Winter Concert
Dear Friends,You might have heard from me recently about a concert in the church (see attached flyer). It’s all raising money for my son’s deaf club so they can make a video about what it feels like to be deaf at school – so all in a good cause. No musical or vocal ability is required, just yourself! If you are game, here are the rehearsal dates which start this Friday at 7 in the church, and if you’re not…

Geocaching
Just listening to an early morning programme on BBC Radio 4 – Open Country, Geocaching in Salcey Forest. It seems the longstanding tradition of Dartmoor Letter-boxing has evolved, spread and embraced smartphone GPS technology to create a whole new hobby. Looks like an intriguing new way to get people discovering the hidden countryside . . . as long as you can get a signal!
