Have you bought anything online recently?… Almost 34% of all retail sales during May 2020 were carried out online, and new research suggests that only 16% of UK consumers intend to return to their old shopping habits post-lockdown. Online shopping fraud during lockdown Action Fraud, the UK’s national reporting centre for fraud and cyber crime, received over 16,000 reports relating to online shopping and auction fraud during the lockdown, with losses totalling over £16m.     Reopening our leisure centresOur staff are looking forward to welcoming customers back to our leisure centres and indoor pools this month. We will start opening our leisure centres from 25 July, phasing in each opening across several days to give staff the chance to share any learning across the centres as we open.  We are currently bringing staff back from furlough and giving them the training they need to make sure everyone stays safe.     FROM SUNDAY 19th JULY WE ARE DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE THAT OUR CHURCH WILL BE OPEN DURING THE DAY FOR ALL WHO WISH TO COME IN AND ENJOY A QUIET SPACE FOR PRIVATE PRAYER, REFLECTION AND CONTEMPLATION. We have a new donation station which takes contact less payments – come and have a go! Please note that some areas still have restricted access including the bookstall, side aisles and side chapels.     Herbert Protocol forms available in Co-Operative stores A joint partnership scheme has been launched across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, in collaboration with the Co-Operative stores, to help provide police and partner agencies with vital information when they are searching for missing people living with dementia. From Friday 3 July 2020, Herbert Protocol forms can be collected from any of the 42 Co-Operative stores across the county.  The Herbert Protocol form allows carers and family members to record personal information such as special places, people, life events etc. relevant to the person living with dementia.  Once completed, the form is kept at the person’s home address and then passed…
