Hot on the heels of the WI Chris Chapman Open Evening and the FOSJ Quiz in March, the Parish Hall Trustees are delighted to announce a THREE COURSE GOURMET SUPPER will be served in the Parish Hall on Friday 21st April 2023. Featuring locally-sourced and free-range game and produce, the menu has been carefully crafted by Amie Beamish Catering who are known to many for providing sumptuous food for parties, weddings and all manner of occasion. Each course includes a vegetarian/vegan option and other dietary requirements can be accommodated. The Big Lunch – celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III
On Sunday 7th May there is to be a Big Lunch held in North Bovey to celebrate the Coronation. A meeting is being held on Tuesday 21st March at 2pm at Greenbank, N Bovey, to discuss how we might like to organise this. North Bovey Parish Hall – Update from the Trustees
Dear Parishioners PIE The Trustees would like to thank everyone who was involved in, or came along to, the Friday night “Pub in Exile” held in the Parish Hall over the last few months. Over £620 was raised for the Hall funds, as well as a good time being had by all! The pre-Christmas event in particular saw over 60 people gather to mark the occasion with family and friends. KITCHEN As you will know, in 2022 there was a significant investment in the Hall due to the urgent need to repair the collapse of the kitchen floor. North Bovey parishioners are invited to attend a meeting to discuss the Coronation of King Charles III at North Bovey Parish Hall on Tuesday 28th February at 7.00pm, hosted by Ed Pollard, Chair of North Bovey Parish Council The Parish Council would love to hear from the North Bovey community about how we would like to celebrate this historic occasion, which, for most, will be the first in their lifetime, and for the others, only the second. Wild Goose and Riddon – Open Meeting North Bovey Belles WI
Everybody is welcome to this year’s open meeting of the North Bovey Belles WI on Thursday 9th March at 7pm. The speaker will be Chris Chapman who is going to talk about a lifetime in photography. A message from South West Water re works in North Bovey
You may have seen a message about works to take place around the village green in North Bovey in February. Here is an update from South West Water: The works are scheduled to begin on Monday 20th February. The contractors will then start excavating a ducting trench which will start from the telegraph pole (close to the phone box) and will run close to the wall of The Old Post Office’s garden, around the bend and across the car park apron, opposite the church lychgate. The contractors need to connect a cable from the telegraph pole to the monitoring box in the car park to access the internet as a…
