Help plan for the future of Dartmoor National Park by commenting on the new draft Local Plan being launched next week. The Local Plan sets out what type of development is and isn’t acceptable in the National Park. It is what the National Park Authority uses to decide planning applications, and sets out where future development may take place. The Local Plan contains a broad range of policies that cover things like extensions and conservatories, conversions and new houses. November 2018 Broadband user survey reminder The survey aims to capture people’s broadband needs and compare whether these needs are being met by the service they receive. The survey is open to all residents and businesses within Devon and Somerset and in addition to capturing the impact from the new infrastructure, it will help us identify the broadband needs across our counties and the data will influence our future Digital Strategy. Leaf clearance from The Village Green Sunday 25th and Monday 26th November 2018
Dear All, It is that time of the year when willing and able volunteers get together to clear the leaves from The Village Green. The aim is to preserve the rather sparse grass by avoiding rotting leaves. Weather permitting we plan to assemble working parties on Sunday 25th and Monday 26th November starting at 1000hrs. If you can spare a couple of hours on either or both days to join in that would be much appreciated. Useful equipment to bring with you would be gardening gloves a leaf rake, leaf pick up paddles and a leaf blower if you have one. Dumpy bags will be available for filling but if…

Fireworks!!! Message from Bovey Castle
On Saturday 24th November there will be fireworks taking place at Bovey Castle between 6.30pm and 7pm, the exact time and duration will be confirmed early next week. We are also now working with one dedicated supplier for all fireworks and trailing a ‘whisper display’ which fires at a lower noise level. Kind Regards Catherine Pipe
