    Queen Elizabeth II

On behalf of the parishioners of North Bovey, North Bovey Parish Council would like to express its sadness at the death of our Queen Elizabeth II and to applaud her for a life of unwavering duty to her Country, Commonwealth and Subjects. She will be sadly missed, but at the same time we must celebrate the wonderful life she has paved over her 96 years, with 70 of those at the head of the Realm.  May she rest in peace. A Message from Lionel Holmes

My name is Lionel Holmes and I am raising sponsorship for the maintenance of the local church – its fabric rather than its ministry – St John’s, here in North Bovey. Briefly, along with many others, I hope to bike up to 50 miles on a day designated annually for raising funds for this purpose – Saturday 10th September – visiting a number of Devon’s churches en route. Half of what I raise will come to St John’s, with the rest going to a central fund, to which any historic church in Devon can apply for help. Many in North Bovey have very generously supported me in previous years, and…

Alan Barnes and David Newton have been playing together now for 45 years. These multi award-winners cover a vast repertoire, and play with an empathy that can only come with long experience. Tonight they are playing together with Jennifer Jones, on vocals, a friend and fellow musician of many years.…

An enormous ‘Thank you‘ from the whole NB Fair team to everyone who donated and came to the North Bovey Fair on Saturday! What a fabulous day it was. It’s been three long years since we’ve been able to hold this event.   And, all being well, we will be back next year. Most probably 15th July 2023. Third Saturday in July. Get it in your diary!
