Local crime

Again, from Devon and Cornwall Police:

This message relates to crime no. 101390/14. Sometime between 1600hrs on Monday 25th August and 0930hrs on Tuesday 26th August 2014 a burglary occurred to a property in North Bovey Road, Moretonhampstead. It is believed the intruder cut wiring to external security lights before entering an insecure outbuilding. A chainsaw and a leaf blower were removed by using the owners wheelbarrow. Would residents please be vigilant. Make sure all outbuildings are left locked and secure. Keep serial numbers of any identifiable equipment. Report any suspicious activity promptly to the Police. If you have any information contact 101 quoting crime no. 101390/14. Thank you.

    I doubt the surveillance technology suggested would stop this somehow. Especially as it would cover the inner village but ignore the rest. perhaps the tethered goat approach . . ?
