Military Wives Choir Concert
As I am sure you are all aware, The Friends are proudly presenting a concert in St John’s Church by the Military Wives Choir from Plymouth. The Military Wives is a huge success story after their initial start by Gareth Malone and there are now 83 choirs worldwide – fantastic!
We are starting off with a bar and hog roast being served in the churchyard from 6pm. We have a young and up-coming star, Johan Alderfeld, playing the piano before the concert and during the interval. The concert starts at 7.30pm and there will be an interval of one hour when more food and drink may be consumed! After another bout of wonderful singing, we will draw the raffle for which we have had some fabulous prizes donated, such as champagne from Bovey Castle, tea at Gidleigh Park, dinner at the Ring of Bells, lunch at Mill End and hair-dos at Saks in Exeter – and many more.
Tickets are available in North Bovey from Debbie Jenkin, 440053, and from the Ring of Bells, 440375. There are still some at the moment but you’d better hurry if you want to be part of this fun event.
Look forward to seeing you there
