FOUND DOGS
Both Maud and Cedric are back safe and sound. They had a night out on the tiles, but seem perfectly well for their adventure, they just stink hugely – goodness knows what they slept in!!! A great big thank you to everyone for the tremendous support from the village – this is when it is so wonderful to live in such a small community and everyone can relate to the agony we were going through! They were found not far from where they went missing – suffice it to say, they will not be having a long walk this morning and nor will they be off their leads just…

LOST DOGS
Sorry to put this on The Friends page, but this is what I have access to – Maud and Cedric, our two cross Springer/Bassett dogs, have gone for a very long unaccompanied walk over the fields, nearly 4 hours ago. I keep hoping they will just re-appear but no luck yet. So if anyone catches sight of them, please, please call us immediately on 221624 or 07887 932212. Many many thanks Wendy

The Friends are delighted to present this popular evening again this year on THURSDAY 11TH SEPTEMBER and we have three new and different venues – brave hosts, we thank you in advance! The evening starts at 6pm at BARN HOUSE, for starters provided by David and Angela Hubble. After the odd glass or two, we proceed up the hill to Ed and Julie Pollard at YOULDEN FARM for our main course. Plenty of parking there, but remember you will have to negotiate the lanes back to the village for puds with Kevin and Katie Elderfield at BLACKALLER. There is plenty of wine at each venue, with a final cup of coffee,…

We are starting off with a bar and hog roast being served in the churchyard from 6pm. Church Cleaning………April 11th.
Not a very exciting title I must admit, but it is that time of the year again. This year, we have a big wedding (from Bovey Castle) on 26th April, as well as three more already booked in during the rest of the year, so we really want to do North Bovey proud and have a sparkling church. Also, some of the guys are going to start scraping off the flaking plaster in preparation for re-painting – scraping BEFORE the cleaning, so lots of mess and dust, and painting very soon afterwards. Therefore I am appealing for all the help you can give on FRIDAY, 11TH APRIL, starting at 10.30am…
