Parish Voices!

The blog now has its own home. It is www.northbovey.org. Please change this in the bookmarks on your browser. I have set up a redirect from the previous address on my website (where it used to live) but this will not always be there. If this puzzles you please ask anyone under 21 or me (young at heart).

I have also renamed it ‘Parish Voices‘ to reflect that it is inclusive of all North Bovey parishioners and not just those in the village. It’s not as snappy but I think the principal is more important now. I think everyone will be happy with this but have your say!

In making these moves a fcouple of things arise. Firstly, Authors: there is a lot of clutter i.e. the same photograph/image at many different sizes.

Please try to edit your image before you upload as you can always size down within the screen where you write your post. You only need to upload to the largest size you really need. Then, if it looks wrong in your post layout you can resize how it appears from there. If you are unsure – just ask. It is best to use JPEG format as PDF does not work as well.

Also would Authors please add a category from the list when posting (e.g. Village Hall, St.John’s, Conservation Group etc. Most categories are there so please check before you add a new one. This makes it very simple for readers to access all other posts within the category. It also helps if photographs have a name that helps it be found in a search. Over time some patient soul might like to use the blog as an archive resource for the village so names and dates will be helpful.

I am also changing the appearance to cheer it up but keep it simple. It works just the same way. The changes are cosmetic and intended to keep several recent posts in view.
