North Bovey Parish Hall – Update from the Trustees

Dear Parishioners PIE The Trustees would like to thank everyone who was involved in, or came along to, the Friday night “Pub in Exile” held in the Parish Hall over the last few months. Over £620 was raised for the Hall funds, as well as a good time being had by all! The pre-Christmas event in particular saw over 60 people gather to mark the occasion with family and friends. KITCHEN  As you will know, in 2022 there was a significant investment in the Hall due to the urgent need to repair the collapse of the kitchen floor. Due to health and safety concerns, quotes were sought, and remedial work was…

An invitation to a meeting to discuss the Coronation of King Charles III

North Bovey parishioners are invited to attend a meeting to discuss the Coronation of King Charles III at North Bovey Parish Hall on Tuesday 28th February at 7.00pm, hosted by Ed Pollard, Chair of North Bovey Parish Council The Parish Council would love to hear from the North Bovey community about how we would like to celebrate this historic occasion, which, for most, will be the first in their lifetime, and for the others, only the second. • The Ring of Bells

The Ring of Bells is open again!

As many of you will know, The Ring of Bells is open again, under new management, following its launch on Friday 20th January.  The place was heaving that evening, and it’s been open since then.  The feedback has been great! The people who have taken over the management of the pub are Eversfield Organic, who already manage The Dartmoor Inn at Merrivale, and they have various organic shops too.  Find out more at www.eversfieldorganic.co.uk. The owners of Eversfield are Mark & Emily Bury, who have issued a message on the North Bovey Facebook page, which I’m posting here for those not on Facebook: From Mark Bury: I would like to…

Donations to HITS from North Bovey residents

The North Bovey Conservation Group put up a Christmas Tree on the village green as usual in December, and requested that people made a donation (by buying a ‘star’ to go on the tree).  All donations from the stars have now been sent to the HITS Foodbank, which stands for Homeless In Teignbridge Support. Here is a letter of appreciation from HITS: Dear Hazel,  I would just like to say an enormous thank you on behalf of our Trustees and Team of volunteers for your recent very generous donation of £122.75 from the North Bovey Conservation Group.  Please also pass on our thanks to all those who contributed to the…
