Baptism
Dear All, This coming Sunday is a very special day. Little Tilly Hilton is to be baptised at our informal service on Sunday morning. The service is at 11.00 am – PLEASE NOTE THE TIME AS THIS IS VERY UNUSUAL FOR US. This will be led by Simon and we invite you all to stay for refreshments afterwards. Do come and join with Dominic, Rebecca and Charlotte and their family and friends to witness Matilda’s baptism. Spring Activities in the Bovey Valley
As a member of the Woodland Trust, I received an email about events in the Bovey Valley back at the end of April, and intended to post it here. Many apologies that I didn’t! There is one more event to come which may be of interest: 16 May 2013 – Rare Lichens – Dr Brian and Sandy Coppins – 1 to 4pm A recent survey of Hisely Wood identified 155 species of lichen, although regrettably the same survey indicated a slow migration of species to the outer edges of the wood and a decline in the woodland habitat supporting these rare species.
