Mike & Bob‘s Coast to Coast Run — Friday 20th September 2019Well, here we are in Richmond, Yorkshire, having completed 118 miles of the 196 miles of the whole route of Wainwrights Coast to Coast Footpath. On average we‘re covering half a marathon a day — about 13 miles over every kind of terrain; some road, some tracks, some very muddy peaty ground, some very steeply uphill and some steeply downhill. This is a public meeting about the latest draft of the new Dartmoor Local Plan. The closest meeting to us is in Chagford on Thursday 26th September from 4pm to 7pm at Endacott House (next to the Three Crowns).

North Bovey Belles W.I. September meeting
Due to holidays and other commitments it was a smaller than usual group who enjoyed our very own Jennifer Jones’ singing workshop at the September meeting. After a few warm up exercises and a brief examination of our vital singing muscles we had a go at singing a “round” of a campfire song some of us remember from Guides, followed by a song made popular by Morecombe and Wise and finishing with a rendition of that good old WI favourite Jerusalem! There have been four recorded incidents that took place on the 28th and 29th August 2019 where residential out buildings have been accessed and items taken. Although there have been no further reports, we are asking that residents remain vigilante and report any suspicious activity. ‘Let’s sing together’ at the North Bovey Belles W.I.
After the terrific success of the North Bovey Belles W.I. entry at the Moretonhampstead Carnival where they won first prize in the humorous category and the Best Entry of the whole carnival, the W.I. continues with a programme of interesting evenings for the ladies.
