Moth Trapping at Bovey Castle 1st and 2nd August 2019
We shall be setting up our moth trap at Bovey Castle on the evening of the 1st August. The following morning Megan Lowe from Butterfly Conservation will join us to see what we have trapped overnight. Provisional programme for the 2nd August. Meet by greenhouses above the main building (up steps signed Fernworthy). 8.30am arrival and set up / check trap for stinging insects (and remove if present). 9am open up moth trap at site, record moths whilst talking about and showing people the catch. Pot up interesting specimens to display. 10.30am – 11.30am show specimens to guests on the terrace. If there are children around then we could ask…
