ROAD CLOSURE at LUCKDON FARM
The road has been closed due to a major bridge collapse near Luckdon Farm. Highways and Devon and Cornwall Police are aware and road closure signs at Fairbrook Bridge and Langstone Farm are in place. John Clark North Bovey volunteer road warden

Raising the roof
After much form filling, site visits, quotations, phone calls, endless paperwork and a few sleepless nights work will eventually start on the replacement of the church roof next month with scaffolding being erected from March 15th and building work commencing on April 4th. A small cabin will be placed in the car park for the duration of the works by kind permission of the owners (Friends of St John’s) and Teignbridge council and work is expected to last 10 weeks. This huge undertaking of replacing the roof will enable this iconic North Bovey landmark to weather the storms Dartmoor throws at it for many more years to come, helping to…

Sheep Worrying
Police have received reports of a dog worrying sheep in a field within of Teignbridge area. We would ask all persons out with a dog/s around farmland to keep the them under control at all times around livestock. The person in charge of a dog/s at the time is responsible should livestock be injured and would be liable to prosecution under Section 1 of the Dogs-(Protection of Livestock ) Act of 1953 . Another police message
This message relates to Crime Ref 7071/16. Police received a report of theft from a vehicle parked in the car park at Dartmeet in Princetown. Two females out walking a dog heard a noise and saw a man reaching into their vehicle removing/stealing a handbag and its contents left concealed under paper. One of the females shouted after the man who made off in a Red Nissan Micra type vehicle. A rock had been used to smash the front nearside window around 1520hrs yesterday Tuesday 2nd February 2016.
