Snow Warden North Bovey Parish has been fortunate to have a team of volunteers who have turned out on cold evenings to salt the roads in and around the village, in order to maintain access to the B3212 at Bughead Cross. The B3212 itself is one of the roads in the network salted by the County Council. Since 2011 the team has been led by Bob Small and Dai Jenkin but both are stepping down at the end of this winter. Puppies!
Hello all Some of you will know that my little dog Ella is expecting puppies somewhere around New Year. I’ve already had quite a few expressions of interest in the puppies, but, of course, I don’t yet know how many there will be. I’ll keep you posted! Meanwhile, I would like to start collecting old newspapers so that they can have some absorbent bedding when they arrive! If you get a newspaper, or newspapers, and are able to collect some for me once you’ve finished with them, please let me know. Happy to collect! After sounding out some opinions with current Village Voice ‘authors’ it seems a good time to widen the scope of content in this forum. So VV will be changing the status of North Bovey Parish ‘subscribers’ to ‘authors’. No-one outside the community will be able to post. Visit to the Village Christmas tree in N Bovey woods 12 noon Sat 6th Dec
The village Christmas tree is being selected soon and all children and parents are invited to join a guided walk to see the tree in North Bovey woods near the Yard hill entrance on Saturday 6th Dec at Noon before it is brought down to be erected on the Village Green.
