Local Artist's work on TV!
I am sure you will be as proud as I am to see the work of Sandy Nightingale, of this very parish, on national TV last evening! As you know she has a book out with Sandi Toksvig called Heroines & Harridans. Sandi T was on The One Show talking about ‘The Two Sandies’. Wonderful to see the painting of Queen Vishpala painted in the next room so huge on the screen. Queen Vishpala lost her leg in battle. She was then the first person to be fitted with a prothetic limb – and promptly returned to battle!

Thank you Tracy! Sandy has a very strong steak of English modesty and would never have posted this herself. But the nature of ‘Publishing’ is to tell people about [in this case] a book and it seemed bizarre to do so and not share it with our own community.I am hugely proud of Sandy & Sandi, of course, and it’s great to hear her valued!
